Στις 4 Δεκεμβρίου τέθηκε σε εφαρμογή το πολυαναμενόμενο κυβερνητικό σχέδιο "Ενοίκιο έναντι Δόσης," με στόχο την προστασία ευάλωτων μη εξυπηρετούμενων δανειοληπτών από τον κίνδυνο απώλειας της κύριας κατοικίας τους. Το σχέδιο αποτελεί το τέταρτο στη σειρά πρωτοβουλιών στήριξης δανειοληπτών, παρέχοντας πλήρη διακανονισμό των μη εξυπηρετούμενων πιστώσεων που ως εξασφάλιση έχουν την κύρια κατοικία των δανειοληπτών.

On 6th of October 2022 the Cypriot House of Representatives approved the “Law on the Shipping Limited Liability Company of 2022” (the “SLLC Law”).
This SLLC Law is one of the steps taken towards the implementation of the long-term national strategy for Cyprus Shipping or otherwise known as “Sea Change 2030”.

Personal Data misuse and breaches in recent times have affected millions of Individuals and organisations. If an organization is found to have breached either, deliberately negligently or by an innocent mistake the personal data of a data subject then that organization could face with significant injury to its reputation and can affect its business.
On the other way around, fundamental detriment can be suffered by the individual that her/ his personal details are being unlawfully exposed as well, and its constitutional right of privacy might be undermined.

Ο όρος «Αξιόγραφα» συνδέθηκε με το σκάνδαλο που ξέσπασε τον Ιούνη του 2012 και εντάθηκε με το κούρεμα των καταθέσεων τον Μάρτιο του 2013, ως αποτέλεσμα της οικονομικής κρίσης. Το σκάνδαλο αφορούσε τους τρόπους με τους οποίους προωθήθηκαν τα Αξιόγραφα Κεφαλαίου κατά κύριο λόγο από την Λαϊκή Τράπεζα αλλά και από την Τράπεζα Κύπρου, κατά την περίοδο 2008-2011.
